LESLIE BROWN
29 June 2008
I am trying to trace a Leslie Brown who I believe lives at or near Old Warden near Biggleswade and at one time worked on the Shuttleworth Collection at Old Warden Aerodrome. I believe Leslie was brought up by Harold Muggleton  and his wife, in Grantchester near Cambridge. In 1977 Harold Muggleton planted  a Christmas tree outside the Village Hall in Grantchester. Unfortunately this has recently been demolished  because of problems with its roots and my mum Flo  Emmines  - now living in Scarborough- is due to plant a replacement  ornamental pear tree there on August 30th and we would very much like Leslie  and any of his family to be there if he is able. Mum (now almost 88 )  was born Florence Muggleton - only child of Ernest and Ethel Muggleton of Grantchester. She will be in the village that weekend for the wedding of my daughter Lucy on Saturday 30th at the parish church. As Harold and his wife had no children of their own we would love Leslie  and his family to attend to keep the link with Harold , if that is possible. If anyone knows of his whereabouts I would be SO grateful if you could pass on this information to him. I can be contacted  at emmines@ntlworld.com.
Many thanks in anticipation. Diane Barnes (Mrs )
RESTAURANTS IN YOUR AREA
16 May 2008
We live near Grantham and my cousin lives near Ashtead in Surrey.  We would like to meet up for Sunday lunch in a pleasant restaurant (traditional fare preferred) in your area.  Can anyone recommend anywhere?  It needs to be within easy reach of the A1 and we need to be able to book a table (not just turn up and queue!), as my Mum is in her 80's.  Do hope someone can help as we would like to meet up in June.
Regards
Jackie Sirrel
JARMAN FAMILY
March 19 2008
Hi there,
Delighted to have found your website; have been studying my family tree my Mother's side coming from Dunton. I wondered if any relations of the Jarman family still live there? My Great Grandparents were Jubal and Edith Jarman, they lived in a cottage near the village green. I understand in the late 70's it looked just the same except for bungalows where the cottages used to be. My grandmother was their youngest daughter, Sarah Louise, b1887.
I would be delighted to hear from anyone who knew of the family or descendants. Very busy at the moment but look forward to studying your website some more shortly.
                                                                                                      Best Regards                                                                                     Margaret

KNOTT FAMILY TREE
February 25 2008
I have been researching my mother's family tree.
My great-grandmother Mary Ann Knott originally came from Stotfold and I have found out a great deal of information about the Knotts, who have connections to the following local families: Hyde, Millard, Auburn, Dear, Gentle, Gotherd and Albone.
Mary Ann left Stotfold as a young woman and never returned to live there after she married, although one of her six children was born there.
Her father was Elias Knott (b. 1847 d. 1923).
I would be delighted to hear from anybody with similar family interests

Many thanks,
Tony Maries

JOHN BRINLEY DAVIES
February 7, 2008
Looking for John Brinley Davies, born, June 29, age 58
I am looking for a family that owned a restaurant / pub called the Hare and Hounds somewhere around Biggleswade in the 1970's and later. I believe the names of the owners was John and Mary Davies. They have a son named John Brinley Davies and this is the person I am trying to find. He has 3 siblings, 1 sister and 2 brothers
In approximately 1967 through 1969 this family moved to Issaquah, Washington, USA and his father John Davies Sr. worked at the Boeing Company until he was laid off. They then returned to the UK where they worked this restaurant.
I knew John from Issaquah Senior High School in 1968. I would really like to contact him. Since we lost each other in 1968 it has been a dream of mine to find him. Crazy as it might seem, I am still in love with him.
If anyone can tell me anything about this family please email or call me at
1-320-351--4575
Thank you so much,
Linda Farr
Happy New Year Everybody
Thanks for all your contributions. Keep them coming,
