Our Vision

At Biggleswade Pentecostal Church, we believe that our purpose on earth is to continue the work of Jesus Christ.

With that in mind our purpose is:

To reach up to God in every area of our lives; to become more like Christ, to serve one another and to encourage each other to do the same, in order to reach out to the community around us with God’s love, pointing others towards our Lord.


This gives rise to our slogan:

Our Vision is an expansion of this Purpose:

Reaching up to God (Worship)

  • We aim to be a relevant and growing Christ-centred family in our community of Biggleswade and beyond. Therefore, we want to see the church growing in size, influence and reputation, in order to bring God greater glory.

  • We aim to enjoy meeting together in Holy Spirit filled services which are dynamic, exciting and glorifying to God. We want to enjoy praying and praising God together, hearing God’s word, see lives changed and people miraculously healed.

Becoming more like Christ (Discipleship)

  • We aim to make disciples, not simply believers, but people who are growing in their faith, becoming more like Christ, and in turn, making disciples of others (Matthew 28:19-20).

  • We seek to retain and attract young people into the life of the church, by involving them in ministry, as well as engaging and discipling them, helping them to know Jesus more, through youth clubs, small groups, relationship and within the whole church.

Encouraging each other (Fellowship)

  • We aim to provide opportunities to foster fellowship and encourage every Christian to care for one another.

  • We aim to move to another meeting place for Sunday mornings in order to give us room to continue to grow, using our current building for other meetings and activities.

  • In the longer term, we aim provide a multi-function building, which can be used by the community, as well as to meet spiritual and practical needs for the community of Biggleswade and the surrounding areas.

Serving one another (Ministry)

  • We aim to develop, train and release people into all kinds of ministry within and outside of Biggleswade Pentecostal Church. We will provide opportunities for service and encouragement to all in finding their gifts and ministries.

Reaching out with God’s love (Evangelism)

  • We aim to reach out with love to more people for Christ, both locally and across the world. We aim to release people, finance and resources in order to work together with other believers in impacting our community, nation and world for God.

  • We aim to provide an even greater children’s ministry that reaches across Biggleswade and beyond, entering the schools and providing children’s clubs to share the good news of Jesus in a relevant and understandable way.
